We got our little Benjamin from Sue & Jake's December litter. He is now 3 months old and 20 lbs! He couldn't be any cuter, sweeter, more playful, or smarter! I work in a doggy daycare and all the employees and customers are completely in love with him and are always asking where I got him.
Benny loves to play with his toys and with other dogs. He has his potty training down and is starting obedience training. He is very good with his big sister, a chow chow, and loves to give her kisses. He is looking forward to going to the beach for the first time in May.
Benny is even famous now! He was selected to be the Daily Dog of 3/15/07 on DailyDog.com!
We couldn't be any happier with our little man. Camie breeds wonderful goldens, and we look forward to sharing our lives with him.

Hi Camie!
Benjamin is doing great! He is the sweetest boy ever. He is my 
constant companion and comes in to work with me. Because I work with 
dogs, he has many playmates and makes new friends every day. He graduated from puppy kindergarten last month and is doing

 
great with his training. He was so easy to housebreak, and he loves his crate so 
much that he often chooses to spend the night in it instead of on the 
bed with us. In late spring, Benny got to go on his first vacation - 
to the beach! He isn't a big fan of swimming yet, be loves to wade. 
He is now 5 months old and 40 pounds. He has brought us nothing but 
smiles. We couldn't ask for a better dog.
Hi Camie!
I've been keeping tabs on your brood through your site, I've got the itch to get Chatham a sister but struggle with the issue of asking friends to take care of 2 dogs when I travel, even though that's only a couple of times a year now. Chatham is doing great, we just got back from 4 days on the Delaware shore (pic attached) where she chased birds, crabs, waves, her tail--basically anything that moved! Then would puke up saltwater when we got back to the house!

I take her out to a friend's farm in Leesburg many weekends, where she romps with a shepherd-mix on 10 acres and snacks on 'meadow muffins' (horse poop). She's going to Cape Cod again this summer to visit her 'granddad' for two weeks, and her friends Thali the Doberman and Gatsby the Golden are coming with her.

She's really a good girl, very mellow for a 15-mo. old and a definite love-bug, she adores kids, giving kisses and getting belly rubs! Your dogs being socialized with your kids is a definite plus (You should emphasize that on your Web site!), my friend Kirsten can never trust Thali to not bark at kids and always has to watch her, I just have to make sure the kids Chatham runs up to are OK with being kissed!

Chloe (Maggie and Zip) was only home for two days when we opened the puppy tennis balls and started throwing them around to see what she would do. To our amazement, on the second toss she retrieved the ball! We did this several times and she did what a good Golden should; she watched, waited for it to settle, then happily trotted off after it and returned it to us. She is a beautiful puppy, so full of life, and she is extremely smart. Molly, Kelsey (our other older Golden), and I are so happy to have her with us. Thank you for breeding such wonderful puppies.
We got a BEAUTIFUL male puppy from Camie! We love him Soooooooo much! He is going to be our future STUD dog! We get so many compliments on him and his great personality! He acts like hes human LOLThanks Camie for our beautiful boy "Gunner"
We got a male (Bentley) from Zoe and Jake's litter. He will be 12 weeks old this Sunday and we have had him for 2 weeks. Bentley has adjusted very well to our household of 2 cats and a cocker spaniel. The puppy has been sleeping through the entire night since night #3 and rarely has an accident. He seems to be getting the hang of using the bells at the back door to let us know he needs to go out. He learned his name quickly and we are now starting on sit to be followed by other commands. Bentley is very smart and we are enjoying him being part of our life.

My Christmas gift from my significant other and my daughter is the most beautiful female puppy, Ellie, from Dandy and Jake's litter born 11-0-07. She is gorgeous, very smart, and more than a little feisty! She peeked out at me from under Rich's coat, and I fell in love instantly! Camie, Curt and their family are wonderful to meet and to deal with!

We picked up our newest family member right before Christmas this year. Our little Digger is an amazing dog! He is so gentle and playful with our two young daughters, he wimpers when he needs to go out and when he does get outside he runs around like crazy wagging his tail while he chases our daughters!! We couldn't be happier with our new dog from Church Mountain. Camie sent countless emails and pictures to us to update us about the puppies and the packet we got when we picked him up was full of information about bloodlines and family history and vet visits.
Thanks Camie for breeding such healthy, loving and well adjusted Goldens. We are so lucky to have found our Digger at your kennel. 
There is only one word to describe Church Mountain Kennels: wonderful. Camie Shifflet is the best breeder anyone could ever ask for and it is apparent that she loves what she's doing and cares so much about goldens. We got Jasmine (from Rooty and Zip) back in Aug. 2006, and she was so much of a joy that we recentaly got Maggie (from Jazzy and Zip) in November 2007.
Everyone always asks me where I was fortunate enough to get such beautiful goldens. I honestly believe Camie has some of the best goldens around and we are so thankful to have found her! Not only does she keep you constantly updated about the puppies, but she is always sends you lots of pictures. This is the work of a breeder who really cares about providing you with a great dog! dear Cammie- Just wanted to up-date you on Cooper our wonderful puppie from Josie and Jake. We couldnt have asked for a more wonderful golden. Just wanted to let everyone know that we purchased the best pup (at least we think so) from Camie at Church Mountain Kennel.
Fenway (son of Zip and Honey - born on 4/17/07) is what we would describe as the perfect golden retriever. Great looks, spirit, and because Camie and her family love thier dogs so much, he was very well adjusted and socialized when we got him home.
We are having a blast with this little guy (soon to be big guy) and we are so glad we made the trek out to Broadway to look at the goldens at Church Mountain Kennel.

Thank you so much Camie for our new love Triton. Triton was one of the boys in Jake & Dandy's litter. He was potty Trained within 2 weeks of having him. Not to mention how calm and well mannered he is. We have already been teaching him new tricks and he picks them up VERY fast. God Bless you Camie for breeding such wonderful Goldens.
I am so thankful that I found out about Camie and Church Mountain Kennel. We got our little Charleston from Sue and Jake's litter in December. Camie, her husband and her kids were so great! They were extremely helpful, knowledgable and really patient with my millions of calls and emails with questions about the pups and how the litter was doing. I went to other breeders, but I knew that Church Mountain was the only place to go. They are great. Charleston came home and only had accidents in the house probably less than five times, he loved children and plays so well with them (I believe that comes from being handled by all of Camie's kids). Travis and I would not know what to do with out our Charleston. He is perfect, very smart and beautiful. Thank you so much Camie! I cannot wait to get another puppy from you in the near future.
We couldn't be more pleased with our "little girl", Isabelle or as we call her, Izzy. She's a beautiful blonde! Izzy has been made my office mascot and is well enjoyed by all. She's even receiving presents from the boss. My boss thinks she's the "prettiest puppy ever". At home, she has to share it with our other pets and has made a quick adjustment to befriend them all. Camie has done a fabulous job breeding dogs with personality, calmness, looks, and smarts. Anything we could say about our two new family members, Jeter from Maggie and Zip (01/05/07), and Casey from Sue and Jake (12/14/06) would be an understatement and not do justice to the wonderful puppies Camie is breeding. We also have with us a new puppy boarder named Bailey, he's Casey's brother also from Sue and Jake...he belongs to my son and daughter-in-law and is with us for a short while. We had them all to the vets on Tuesday and their excellent health was only surpassed by their terrific personalities…talk about having great temperament! At the vet's office, they were as calm as could be, sitting at our feet and watching all the new people and their dogs and cats coming and going you would think they owned the place. Dealing with Camie and meeting her husband Curt was indeed a pleasure. Camie’s love for all her Golden’s, her breeding program, and the interest she takes in us and the puppies in their new home is second to none. Not only do we have terrific new family members, we now have a good friend in Broadway. Thanks Camie
We purchased two female puppies from Maggie & Zip's litter born on Jan 5, 2007. Daffie & Rylee are great puppies! Their housetraining is going well and we are working on leash training right now. They have two totally different personalities. Daffie is a big lover. She's into everything and has attitude. She has a little prance in her step. She's vocal, and always growls or barks when playing. Rylee is more laid-back, yet more dominant than Daffie. She is a little more cautious and more "just get it over with" than Daffie (eats faster and pees sooner when outside). Everywhere we take them, we receive nothing but good comments about them and lots of questions like where they came from. Camie does an excellent job caring for and breeding her beautiful goldens. She was a pleasure to do business with, and I'd consider her more of a friend now than just my breeder!
We are SO happy with our little boy Cosmo from Jake and Annie's litter (born in July 2006)! He is such a happy boy, always wearing a smile! He and his big sister Minnie get along beautifully! They are best buds! Camie was great to work with, she answered all of our questions and was so organized with the puppy paperwork! We are so grateful for our healthy and happy boy!
Charlie is the most golden of Goldens! He is our 80 pound, 9 month old baby from Jake and Dandy. We were so pleased with the disposition and golden beauty of all of Camie's dogs. She, indeed, breeds "good, quality, healthy family pets"! Working with Camie is such a joy, as her love for Goldens "shines through". If (when) we decide to add another Golden to our family, we wouldn't go anywhere else, but to Church Mtn. Kennel!

  I took Hoshi to the vet tonight to have her last round of shots and I am glad that we made it home.  They would not let me leave!!!  They were so enamored with Hoshi that everyone in the office wanted to say goodbye before she left. 

  The vet paid you a HUGE compliment, asking me if I intended to show her, because she said that Hoshi is the most beautiful golden she had ever seen.  She said that she is the picture of perfect health and is VERY courageous.  She didn't even flinch when getting her big girl shot (Rabies).  All the vet techs were asking if she had been on TV yet!!!  I cannot take her anywhere without EVERYONE who sees her dropping their jaw and telling me how absolutely gorgeous she is.  This is all because of you and the work you do for all of us.  I sincerely thank you for everything you do and hope that you continue to do so for years to come.

    Chloe of, Maggie and Zip's litter, just celebrated her second
birthday yesterday and it reminded me of what wonderful animals you
breed. Chloe is the best pet I have ever had. I have never had a dog
that is so kind and docile, yet so willing to play and please. She has
never met a stranger and loves everyone...especially children! Everyone
comments on her beauty and temperament and asks where we got her. We now
live in Columbus Ohio where it seems everyone has a Golden Retriever.
That being said, I have not seen one as beautiful as her or any of the
animals you raise (maybe I'm partial)! This is a testament to you and
the work you do...Thank you for being a wonderful breeder.

Camie, Here are all of the recent pics I took so you can decide which ones you like best! I saw that Nyla was on your website - I was SO EXCITED! I feel like she's famous now! She's 14 weeks old in these pictures, and just such a wonderful member to our family. What a sweet, gentle personality. She loves to snuggle on the bed with us in the morning, and of course her favorite is running around outside with the kids. We took her with us to a friend's house this week who has a dog, and the two of them became fast friends! They ran and played everywhere. I'm so thankful that we have such a marvelous companion for my kids to grow up with. Thank you for your loving attention and care, and particularly for her socialization around kids! She's the most incredible pet we could've ever asked for.

We weren't sure we could fall in love so quickly, but your puppy took our hearts in the first 5 minutes. He is so perfect! His personality is great. He has brought so many smiles to our faces! I wanted to send you a short email to update you on Dooley!  He is celebrating his first Birthday on Sunday and we are having a big party for him with his best friend Pepper and about 20-30 of his closest doggy pals! 

I cannot imagine my life without Dooley.  He is always the highlight of my day and constantly keeps me laughing. He's also turned into quite the obedient boy and is very smart.  Sometimes I think he's too smart for his own good!  He is always up for anything, and LOVES to play.  This summer we spent a lot of time at the beach with my parents in Virginia Beach and Dooley learned to swim.  He is quite the water dog, and these days I have trouble keeping him away from the water!

I cannot thank you enough for breeding such a handsome, well-behaved boy.  Dooley is one amazing little dog (well actually he's not that little, he's pushing 70 lbs)!
