"Archie".

We are just so pleased with Archie! He is so smart and well behaved! He can sit, shake, give a high five, catch a treat from his nose, heel, stay, comes when called and speaks. I can let him outside and he doesn’t run off and the kids are having a blast with him. He is becoming the neighborhood dog! All the kids on the street know him by name and they all play with him as well. The other day a kid; at the play ground (about 3 years old) ran up behind him and hugged him and Archie didn't even flinch! I was so proud of him!

Camie,

I thought I would shoot you an email today. Hoshi (from Zip & B-Bee) is now 12 weeks old and is doing GREAT!!!

She is a joy to be around and is making my life much more fun and interesting. She is a VERY vocal girl, and is always trying to talk to me. So far, she has learned SIT, STAY, COME and EASY(for when I give her a treat,and she tried to grab it, I say EASY and she takes it very gently), does very well in her crate, while I'm at work and no longer has problems peeing inside. She absolutley loves to meet new people, and EVERYONE always saids she is GORGEOUS and should be on TV. Her coat is the softest that I have ever felt and she is growing and growing. This morning she weighed 17 lbs!!!

I cannot begin to thank you enough for giving me a new bestfriend and companion. I might be up there again to pick up a sibling for her!!!

You are the best!!!

"UPDATE" from Joe:

Camie,

I took Hoshi to the vet tonight to have her last round of shots and I am glad that we made it home. They would not let me leave!!! They were so enamored with Hoshi that everyone in the office wanted to say goodbye before she left.

The vet paid you a HUGE compliment, asking me if I intended to show her, because she said that Hoshi is the most beautiful golden she had ever seen. She said that she is the picture of perfect health and is VERY courageous. She didn't even flinch when getting her big girl shot (Rabies). All the vet techs were asking if she had been on TV yet!!! I cannot take her anywhere without EVERYONE who sees her dropping their jaw and telling me how absolutely gorgeous she is. This is all because of you and the work you do for all of us. I sincerely thank you for everything you do and hope that you continue to do so for years to come.

Blacksburg's local, nonprofit movie theater, the Lyric, sells red

plastic

popcorn buckets that once purchased, can then be refilled for free

forever.

The attached picture is of Grady chewing on our Lyric popcorn bucket.

We sent

this picture to the executive director of the Lyric, and she is going to

use it

to advertise the bottomless bucket of popcorn! We thought you would

like to

know that one of Church Mountain's puppies is going to be famous (or at

least

well known to local Lyric-goers)!

<< Hi Camie,

Chloe of, Maggie and Zip's litter, just celebrated her second

birthday yesterday and it reminded me of what wonderful animals you

breed. Chloe is the best pet I have ever had. I have never had a dog

that is so kind and docile, yet so willing to play and please. She has

never met a stranger and loves everyone...especially children! Everyone

comments on her beauty and temperament and asks where we got her. We now

live in Columbus Ohio where it seems everyone has a Golden Retriever.

That being said, I have not seen one as beautiful as her or any of the

animals you raise (maybe I'm partial)! This is a testament to you and

the work you do...Thank you for being a wonderful breeder.

I have included a couple of pictures. She is around a year in both pics,

sorry I don't have a more recent one.

~ABOVE~ Is STUBBY!. Stubby was born 2 yrs ago to our Maggie & Zip. When he was born, Maggie chewed his tail off while trying to chew the cord off. So Stubby looks like he has a docked tail. We did not sell Stubby. We kepted him here with us till he was 14 wks old. Our friend adopted Stubby. Stubby lived on a farm. Where at 9 mo old he got ran over by a tractor and broke his hips. Stubby was left outside in a barn to recover, Such a SAD long story. Stubby was then tied to a chain and left outside without any shelter. We rescued Stubby back! He now lives with my mother in law and one of my other retired goldens Rooty. Where he is very much loved and wanted. What began a SAD story has now ended up being a HAPPY one.
